About the Instructors
About Tonya
My name is Tonya. I live in beautiful Spencer County Kentucky and have for over ten years. I am one of the proud owners of Journey Fitness. I have a wonderful husband and two cool kids. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia over 12 years ago and have only been able to control its symptoms through exercise and Yoga. I have been teaching fitness classes forever. I am an AFAA certified fitness instructor and YogaFit Level II certified instructor. In addition I am a Zumba® certified instructor. I have been teaching Yoga and cardio classes for almost 20 years ( I am not old, I just started young). Zumba® is the most fun I have had doing cardio in years.
About Lori
My name is Lori Brock. My family and I have lived in Spencer County for over 7 years and we love it here. I have a fantastic husband and two brilliant children. By day I work as an accountant but otherwise, I am the other proud owner of Journey Fitness. A have been dancing all my life starting at age 4. I participated on my high school dance team and when I grew up, I was a regular at the weekend night club dance scene. Once I became a wife and mother my dancing "need" became limited to at home fitness tapes. BORING! Thank you Zumba. I attended my first Zumba® class back in December of 2007 and have been hooked ever since. Thank you Tonya for bringing Zumba® to Spencer County. Now I am able to fulfill my dancing needs, relieve all my stress from the daily grind of work-life and help to provide others in our town the opportunity to fulfill their fitness and dancing needs too.
About Bridey
Bridey has been instructing for Journey Fitness since our grand opening. She is a wonderful mom of two super cute kids. Our students nicknamed her Brutal Bridey because her Zumba®/toning class kicks some butt. She is so sweet and cute you would never see it coming!
About Rose
My name is Rose and I live in Louisville, KY in the Highview Area with my husband and two boys. My oldest son is a soccer fanatic and we travel all over for his sport. My other son enjoys Karate and fishing. Can they be any different? My husband works so that I can play! I have been teaching fitness for 8 years. Mainly teaching in the water. A year ago I was looking for a change. Zumba® danced into my life and I haven't looked back. My motto is "if it is not fun, don't do it" and I'm still doing Zumba® today! Come Join me at the party!
